Val Cushing lecture in Holmes auditorium on Wed, Sept 25th at 4:30pm. The lecture will include a brief history of the evolution of the College of Ceramics and the growth of the School of Art and Design up to 1997, when Val retired. This will be followed by a kind of retrospective of his personal work; from grad school to 2010. He will discuss sources, influences, ideas and various aesthetic approaches. This lecture is supported by the Alfred Clay Collective.
